ABBA Tribute

ABBA Tribute, tribute to ABBA and the atmosphere from the 70’s and 80’s. ABBA has played a leading role in the history of pop music. Who doesn’t remember classic hits like “Dancing Queen”, “Waterloo”, “Mamma mia”, “Voulez vous” and “The winner takes it all”. ABBA is one of the most successful bands in the world with more than 200 million albums sold. (and over 370 million records in total).

In 2013, ABBA Tribute took over the rich musical legacy of this legendary group. The six of them guarantee an attractive evening-filling program, with repertoire where everyone often says afterwards: “I knew all the songs”. It is music with a great recognisability, which spontaneously creates entire choirs during these concerts.

What is also typical is the emotions ABBA music unleashes in the audience, from joy to sadness, it’s all there! Incredibly good and musically perfectly balanced, ABBA left its signature in pop music between 1972 and 1982. The polyphonic harmony singing is one of the striking features of the ABBA Tribute, allowing them to recreate that characteristic ABBA sound.

They are supported by, among other things, perfect light and sound, so that the atmosphere of the time certainly comes very close to the original. The fact that authentic 70’s and 80’s (original ABBA) clothing was worn during the performance completes the picture. How much ABBA’s music still delights people is proven almost every week during the ABBA Tribute concerts.

It is not only the generation that experienced the ABBA era in the 70s and 80s that goes out of their way for an evening. More and more young people are following that example. This is the ultimate proof that ABBA is timeless. Many artists have tried to copy it (including Baccara, etc.) but they have never been able to match the success of the real ABBA.

Out of respect for the band ABBA, we at ABBA Tribute have tried to match the original as best as possible at a musically responsible level and that this has been successful is evident from the reactions and bookings. Voted by the Dutch and foreign press as one of the best ABBA Tribute bands in the world and we are proud of that!

The highlight in 2014 was a performance for more than 15,000 people (Kasteeltuin Concerts in Helmond) which came specifically for ABBA Tribute. It was a great experience! By maintaining dedication and the necessary authenticity, ABBA Tribute continues to stand out from the rest.

With two top vocal Dancing Queens at the front and solid musicianship behind them where LIVE music making is of paramount importance, success is assured for an evening of nostalgia and fun music for young and old!
